The National Tsing Hua University and Taiwan Education Centre in India, with the support of governments of both the nations, gifted Chitkara University five Oxygen Concentrators.

This noble gesture has emerged as unity against fighting the Covid-19 pandemic by the National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan Education Centre in India and Chitkara University.
“The Chitkara Community has received five oxygen concentrators as a token of eternal friendship to firmly strengthen our multilateral ties,” said Dr Ashok Chitkara, Chancellor, Chitkara University.

He further added, “We are truly privileged and fortunate to have prestigious priority partners across the globe. Their immense support remains with us for all odds and impediments. I extend my best wishes to our partners for this righteous contribution.”

The 8LPM types of Oxygen Concentrators help a device that extracts oxygen from atmospheric air. It will be an electrically-powered molecular sieve (artificial zeolite) used to separate nitrogen from ambient air. “As the country fights the second wave of Covid-19 pandemic, Oxygen Concentrators are among the main instruments for treatment of patients. This gesture has not only boosted our partnership but also proved that we are together in this global pandemic. These devices will be used for the welfare of the society and for needy patients under the patronage of the Chitkara Community.

In December 2019, Chitkara University announced their association with Taiwan Education Center (TEC). The purpose of the association is to boost and enhance the educational and cultural collaboration between Chitkara University and Taiwan.
