Sri Guru Govind Singh Collegiate Public School, Sector-26, Chandigarh in collaboration with Chandigarh Breast Cancer Trust(CBCT) organized an Inter School Skit competition with the aim to generate awareness among the youth of Tricity on October 28, 2017. Mrs. Simerpreet Luthra presided over as the chief guest. Dr. Gurpreet Singh, President of CBCT took up the initative to organize this event along with the Principle of the School Mrs. Amanpreet Kaur. Ms. Kamaljit Walia, Secretary of CBCT was also present along with other members of trust. Number of Schools from Tricity participated and young students enthusiastically staged the event based on the theme of Cancer Awareness. The selection process became extremely difficult for the Judges as each team emphatically raised awareness among the masses. Judgment was done by the chief guest Mrs. Simerpreet Luthra, Sangeeta Gupta-Theatre artist and Dr. Mangla Dogra, a renowned gynecologist.
Saupins School bagged 1st prize of Rs. 20,000. They were preceded by KBDAV School who won the second prize of Rs.15,000. Government Senior Secondary School, Sec-26 won third prize of Rs. 10,000. Winners were awarded certificates too.
