All India Federation of Self Financing Technical Institutions (AIFSFTI) requested Modi Government as well as other State Governments to adopt the Bihar Student Credit Card (SCC) Model for entire Country.

Dr. Anshu Kataria, President, AIFSFTI said that Bihar Credit Card Scheme is the best Model adopted in Bihar by the Government which is applicable on the students of all categories in which students who have cleared intermediate 12th  board examination will be able to avail a credit card and can withdraw up to Rs 4 lakhs as education loan.

Kataria added that this scheme is beneficial for the General, backward class (BC), extremely backward (EBC), scheduled caste (SC) and scheduled tribe (ST) to pursue higher studies as the student need not to wait for his scholarship amount for his studies but state Govt gives guarantee to banks for not only the ‘credit’ but also gives guarantee on ‘interest’ for the loan. So this should be made mandatory in the entire Country.

Sh. R.S Munirathinam, Chief Patron, AIFSFTI urged Modi Govt that Education is the key to make the Country a Super Power but due to delay in Scholarship from Centre & State Governments and Education Loan from the Banks we are lacking behind to empower the youth through Education.

Sh. KVK Rao, General Secretary, AIFSFTI urged Govt to withdraw/ recall the April Notification which states that SC/ST student would first give fees. Rao said that SC/ST student being financially weak and poor couldn’t afford higher professional education.

Kataria further said that Bihar student credit Model is one of the success stories for the Country. Other states should also study this Model and should implement this model for the needy and deserving students. With this the student will not have to face the hardships due to delay in scholarship or refusal from bank for education loan.
