Bharti Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Bharti Enterprises proudly announced the remarkable achievement of students of Satya Bharti Adarsh Senior Secondary schools located in rural heartlands of Punjab in the Class XII and X CBSE Board Examinations.

With an overall pass percentage of 96.98% in Class XII and 95.88% in Class X, the students of Satya Bharti Adarsh Senior Secondary Schools, outshined the CBSE and Panchukula region average pass percentage. The success of children in the remote locations of rural Punjab, has not only validated the efforts put in by the students, teachers and the school but also is a “dream come true” for most of the parents whose belief for education has been further entrusted by the results.

Village girls not only dominated boys with overall pass percentage of 96.43% in Class XII and 96.6% in Class X but also secured the top positions in both exams. Ms. Jaspreet Kaur from Satya Bharti Adarsh Sr. Sec School Fattubhilla with 96% marks and Ms. Jashandeep Kaur from Satya Bharti Adarsh Senior Secondary School, Rauni with 97.2% marks were declared as topper in class XII and Class X board exams respectively.

Congratulating the students and teachers,Ms. Mamta Saikia, CEO, Bharti Foundationsaid, “The success of these students becomes special as many of them are coming from rural disadvantaged backgrounds. The results has reaffirmed the Foundation’s belief towards the education and holistic development of children in the rural areas. I congratulate the students and teachers for the outstanding performance and thank the community and Government of Punjab for consistently supporting and motivating our schools.”

Currently 196 Satya Bharti Schools are operational across the villages of Punjab, Rajasthan, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and West Bengal. Of the 196 schools, 191 schools are primary/elementary schools and five schools are senior secondary schools run in public private partnership mode under Punjab Government’s Adarsh Scheme.

The Satya Bharti Schools provide quality education to children in rural India, most of who are first generation learners. Keeping this in mind, the school curriculum has been designed to help children understand what they are being taught. Encompassing both classroom as well as
out-of-class activities, the program aims to develop students holistically by inculcating in them  attitudes, values and life-skills that will hold them in good stead later in life.  While innovative Teaching Learning Material (TLM) enhances their classroom experience, special programs like The Physical Education Curriculum (PEC) are used to make outdoor learning more meaningful. Other interventions like the English Phonics Program and use of education software, aid the delivery of English and computer education.
