A three-day long India Travel Mart concludes today amidst massive participation from residents of tricity who inquires on vivid travelling options in domestic and internationally. According to Organizing Director, Ajay Gupta, тАЬThis year apart from various state tourism departments, tour & travel agents, hotel industry and representative from allied industry participated in the mart.┬а Corporate, business houses, travel enthusiasts visited in large numbers with their families and booked holiday and tour packages for various tourist destinations across India and overseas. Locals opted package for holidays, business trips, family vacations, honeymoon destinations, and adventure sports and eco-tourism places.тАЭ
During the valedictory function, Rajasthan Tourism was adjudged as ‘Best Stall’ while Madhya Pradesh Tourism bagged ‘Best Stall Display’. Himachal Tourism was felicitated for promoting adventure tourism in state while Bihar Tourism for promoting Wildlife Tourism. Special award was given to Bihar Tourism for promoting Sikh Circuit for hosting Sikhism world’s biggest religious gathering ‘Prakash-Utsav’ in recent times. Gujarat Tourism and Goa Tourism were awarded for promoting Statue of Unity and Fair & Festivals respectively.
