Engage Chandigarh 2019 was held in association with Indian Institute of Architects Chandigarh-Punjab Chapter organized, curated and executed by Ideate India from Mumbai, attended by over 200 stalwarts of the architectural and design industry from all parts of Chandigarh.
Engage Chandigarh 2019, the 21st edition of the most celebrated architectural journey in India is touring the most robust cities creating platforms for Architects and Designers to gain knowledge, network and explore latest product and technologies.
Architect Madhav Raman co-founder of Anagram Architects, Delhi Nominated for Aga Khan Award 2010 and recipient of some of the most prestigious awards in the Architectural Industry was the Keynote Speaker for the evening spoke on TRANSECTS & INTERSTICES slices through time & spaces between spaces. Madhav spoke in detail about his key projects and shared his source of inspiration for those projects. He strongly encouraged sustainable lifestyle and promoted an experiential reconnect with ecology through extensive research into mainstream and alternative building practices. His impeccable knowledge and command on the subject captivated the audience making it an interactively spellbound session.
CHANDIGARH 2050 – Urban Planning Challenges was the topic for a power pack panel discussion amongst the most eminent Panellist comprised of Architect Aman Aggarwal- Charged Voids, Architect Ashwani Duggal- Subash & Associates, Architect Kapil Setia- Chief Architect Chandigarh, Architect Sarab M Singh- Sarab Architects & Consultants, Architect Surinder Bahga- Saakaar Foundation. The panel was extremely well moderated by Architect Badrinath Kaleru- Studio Ardete. Instigated by some challenging ideas and some curious questions from the audience making it highly interactive and knowledge driven.
